Moreover, the RELAX NG compact syntax specification explicitly mentions XML Schema Datatypes as the predefined binding for xsd: prefix. And it is the only datatype prefix defined for RelaxNG. I too think that grass could be greener, but the reality is that RelaxNG relies on W3C XML Schema part 2, practicaly in the same way as XQuery does. David Tolpin http://davidashen.net/
