I like to qualify that last bit. If we focus overly on the model we 
tend to forget the cost of interchange in the trenches is to a large 
extent driven by syntax. That RDF has a designated XML syntax that 
people dislike has resulted at least 5 other unofficial ones to 
choose from and will probably result in 5 more before the penny 
drops amongst RDFers that this is a bug not a feature.
