Your question is well-taken, but at its level of granularity explication of this
system architecture and transaction protocol by socratic question and response
will take forever (and, I suspect, sorely try the collective patience of
xml-dev). So-o-o, I am using my handwaving powers as XML SIG Leader to schedule
a formal presentation of this protocol at our next monthly meeting, Tuesday 20
May, 7 p.m. in downtown Manhattan. Doubters, debunkers of handwaving and other
skeptics most especially welcome. There is no charge to attend, but we must
furnish our host a list of those to be admitted. To reserve a place for this
meeting, please send me a request by email to mailto:wperry@x... before
Monday 19 May and you will receive a return email with a confirmation of your
reservation and the exact address of the meeting. PLEASE do NOT send your
request to xml-dev!
