[XML-DEV Mailing List Archive Home] [By Thread] [By Date] [Recent Entries] [Reply To This Message] If prefix is exactly 'xml'
Hello, In the XML Namespace specs it's stated that: " The prefix xml is by definition bound to the namespace name http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace. It may, but need not, be declared, and must not be bound to any other namespace name. No other prefix may be bound to this namespace name. " Does this mean that if the user does use the 'xml' prefix, should the processor reject all local parts other than 'lang' and 'space'? (ie. should <A xml:root = " ... " /> be a fatal error?) Thanks, Navid M.
