It would appear the publications are entering some sort of 'ratings period' and
they're simply trying to stir up trouble.  To drive up page readership counts
it's a lot easier to rant about something with a ton of ambiguities and errors.
Pimping those numbers off to advertisers doesn't usually include a statement
that says the readership thinks the publication/author is an idiot.
