Some very smart slides from John Sowa of
possible interest to the KR community and
to XML aficionados. Off topic to the extent
this isn't about XML development. On topic
to the extent that XML is mentioned several
times. Dead on topic to the extent that
URIs map to whatever they map to depending
on whose model is trendy this week.

"Terminologies, Ontologies, Methodologies, and Frameworks"

http://www.jfsowa.com/talks/santafe.htm

"Common Logic -- a Framework for a Family of Logic-Based
Languages":

    http://www.jfsowa.com/talks/clprop.htm

"Task-Oriented Semantic Interpretation",

    http://www.jfsowa.com/pubs/tosi.htm

I recommend the last one above for anyone
who wonders why given the working nature of
URIs On The Web, the debate about what they
identify continues unabated.

It is good to see what the authorities
on the off topics are talking about.
