Some people see the future and learn from the past. Some people see the past and lament the future. I look in both directions and try not to step on the dog poop left by others passing. :-) I agree that computers should not evolve the same way as pop music. On the other hand, I don't want to go back to the command line interface anytime soon. The trick is to cherry pick the innovations. Perhaps we should quit designing computer systems and start breeding them. GET DARWINIAN!!!
