We could always just force anyone who discusses URIs to read the
xml-uri@w... archives.

After all these years discussing URIs, I still don't find them anywhere
near as magically valuable as their promoters say they are.  URLs were a
neat hack.  URIs are an ever-expanding mess.  There's no sign of this
getting better (or more understandable), either.

Seems to be an infinitely deep rat hole there at the heart of the Web
Architecture, one deeply loved by a dedicated crowd of people.
