Come on, it's trivial. My home page is measured in kilo*bytes*, I am
measured in kilo*grams*. I have a mailbox you can send mail to.
My home page doesn't have a mailbox, and sending mail to it is
pointless. We aren't interchangeable.

The topic maps strategy (which can be mirrored in RDF with a bit
of convention) handles the difference as neat as can be.

To say that Bilbo's breath was taken away is no description at all. There
are no words left to express his staggerment, since Men changed the language
that they learned of elves in the days when all the world was wonderful.
