BigBoss, could you elaborate on your comment? What aspects of Apache XML-Security project's XML-C14N implementation are 'seemingly' not strictly compliant with the spec? Last I heard, it passed the interoperability tests. FYI, I have not seen any 'no-strings attached' XML-C14N implementation other than Apache's. Frankly, I think stand-alone XML-C14N packages would be pretty helpful for the XML community, something that will convert DOM node, SAX events, and character stream into XML-C14N octet stream. Full XML-DSIG implementation changes runtime requirements as well as API quite a bit and is not appropriate if you just want to canonicalize.
