I am curious whether any one or their organizations have developed "When to Validate" guidelines for their XML efforts? For example, many in my organization would argue to always validate (these being the data architects!) and those who work application integration issues, where a relational database resides at each end of the XML flow, would argue that validation in their world is NEVER necessary. In this example and in others I have heard many compelling arguments from each side, but nothing definitive. Any thoughts or best practices in general regarding when to validate XML? Brian Magick
