And LinuxToday, and because that email I forwarded was
sent around a fair number of other lists.  Janet Daley (of W3C)
responded to LinuxToday... with what I thought was an unfairly
shallow description of those responses:  "Don't!". 

I think a lot of us were surprised to see this proposal get
so far along without getting noticed.  There's something
about what W3C did (and plans to do) with respect to
this proposal which doesn't smell right.
