While acknowledging your point, I'll allude to your first paragraph. I'd like to see a discussion on corporate-owned identity on the net, which I can't say I'm a big fan of. And as far as I can tell, there is no realistic way around it unless some parts of the operation are public utilities. Does that mean the global registry services MUST be public utilities?
