What I wrote was a bit extreme!  The lengths we'll go to to make a point!
The point I wanted to make is that the spec opens the door for other
interpretations.  I'm certainly not advocating any interpretation other than
the normal case in XML 1.0, but I am keen for the information to be made
available for others to access when required.
