I'm trying to work backward though the data types doc versions (don't
ask), but the links appear to get stuck in some circular reference 

the current version is 
http://www.w3.org/TR/xmlschema-2/ and also
http://www.w3.org/TR/2001/PR-xmlschema-2-20010330/ 

that's previous version is
http://www.w3.org/TR/2001/PR-xmlschema-2-20010316/ 

but that takes you a document titled 
W3C Proposed Recommendation 02 May 2001 with a previous version of
http://www.w3.org/TR/2001/PR-xmlschema-2-20010330/ 
which is back to the start :(

and last time i looked we've not got to May yet !

so, to cut to the chase, anyone know the URL for the datatype's doc
associated with the http://www.w3.org/1999/XMLSchema namespace.
