Let 'em believe what they want to believe. A network that still doesn't get PUBLIC IDs or why adding a lot of little DLLs to the client turns it back into a fat client isn't ready to understand local autonomy and the reliability of local rules over global mandates. Hey just a little more Prolog... To the IT manager who thinks they can better manage client configurations by keeping all the code on a central server, or the CEO who thinks they can get more productivity out of employees by making sure they can't get RealPlayerZed, this all looks like good magic. To the user who has seen enough 404s or watched a brownout, to the California utilities who can't afford the server farms they have now, to the local agency who refuses to handle more information than they need because the UN tells them they should... this all looks like deep caca. People who tell you a web browser is a perfect next generation client need to write a few industrial sized database applications so they can discover the joys of persistent state and client side business rules. Next, Up, Back, History, Go To, don't solve all of the context problems of complex navigation. :-) Len http://www.mp3.com/LenBullard Ekam sat.h, Vipraah bahudhaa vadanti. Daamyata. Datta.
