Notice how there's a similarity in the arguments this corporation made about money spent on a common resource (client side IP and control) as being "wasted", and the ones that various pollution-intensive companies (name your least favorite :) make about how money spent on pollution-free business processes would be "wasted" ... In both cases, the "waste" is that money is spent on achieving some shared social goal, rather than enriching the corporation. - Dave
