Generating XPath expressions

Does anyone here know of a quick way to generate an XPath expression like
'elemA[elemB='cdata1']' from an xml node instance like 
<elemA>
    <elemB>cdata1</elemB>
</elemA>
 
Of course, the node instance could be of arbitrary complexity.
