The change is in fact a subtle one: it affects only the *value* of an attribute, which is what you have after the attribute-normalization process described in clause 3.3.3 is performed. (Note that 3.3.3 has been clarified by E24 and E61.) Consequently, although <element magic="foo bar"/> where "magic" is of type ENTITIES, IDREFS, or NMTOKENS, will still work (and return a value of "foo bar"), under E62 it is invalid to say: <element magic="foo 			bar"/> Of course it is still well-formed.
