All, My colleagues and I at Control Data are implementing a parser in perl to take a piece of xml and break it down to its individual components, ready to store in a tree. For this to work though, they need to understand the definition of the keywords in xml. Am I right in assuming the document type declarations and markup declarations which begin with an <! are all self-contained internal keywords which have no other dependencies. Cheers, Dave. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- | David Jones | mailto:David.T.Jones@c... | | Control Data | Office: (+44) 0181 867 6087 | | 3 Roundwood Avenue | | | Stockley Park | Control Data's WWW homepage: | | Uxbridge, Middlesex UB11 1AG | http://www.cdc.com/ | | | | "Don't worry about the world coming to an end today." | | It's already tomorrow in Australia" - Charles Schultz | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- xml-dev: A list for W3C XML Developers.
