Festus RedelinghuysSubject: Can a generated XSD be used in BizTalk map?
Author: Festus Redelinghuys

Hi,

I have imported an X12 EDI document into SS and exported an XSD schema.

I inserted the XSD into a BizTalk 2010 map. However, when I read the same X12 EDI document (from which I have created the schema), I get parsing and validation errors.

My question, can the XSD schema generated by SS from an EDI document be used as a Biztalk schema for the same EDI documents?

Yours Sincerely

Hi Festus,

Have a look at the BizTalk tutorial at

Hope this helps

Ivan, thanks for responding.

As per the link:

I have created the ReceivePipeline using the XmlConverter-Disassembler, compiled, deployed to BTS and mapped.
I also copied XmlConverters.dll to C:\Program Files\Microsoft BizTalk Server 2010\Pipeline Components\XmlConverters.dll'
I have registered 'XmlConverters.dll' into the GAC

I still get this error:

Reason: Could not load file or assembly 'file:///C:\Program Files\Microsoft BizTalk Server 2010\Pipeline Components\XmlConverters.dll' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Are there any other dependencies I am not aware of?

The issue was solved with a reboot.
