S WSubject: Java Extension Functions

Hi,

I'm currently doing some tests on Stylus Studio (trial of latest version) to see if it could fit our XSL requirements on our project.

I'm trying to use Java extension Functions with XalanJ in Stylus Studio.

1) I changed the processor to "java built in"

2) I wrote my custom extension function:

package org.test;

public class TestXSLJavaExtension {

public Object extConcat(String str1, String str2) {
return str1+"-"+str2;
}

public Object extVide() {
return "(vide)";
}

}

3) I register this function in the mapper. I didn't have any issue and saw the signature of the methods of my class appeared in the "Java Functions" menu.

4) I use the "extConcat" method on my xsl (using mapper GUI) and obtained the following XSL stylesheet:

<?xml version='1.0' ?>
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:org_test_TestXSLJavaExtension="org.test.TestXSLJavaExtension">
<xsl:template match="/">
<root>
<res>
<xsl:value-of select="org_test_TestXSLJavaExtension:extConcat(string(root/str1),string(root/str2))"/>
</res>
</root>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>

5 ) I tried using this XSL on this input XML document...

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<root>
<str1>toto</str1>
<str2>titi</str2>
<res></res>
</root>

6) ... and obtained the following error:

at: file:///l:/Sib/EAI/PROJET%7E1/ESB/2MEDIA%7E1/0RESSO%7E1/transcos/XSLTTR%7E2/TESTJA%7E1/TESTXS%7E1.XSL 6

Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Seb!
