Hi everyone!!
Im using the translate() function in a xpath!!!. like this:
translate($reg1, "¥", "Ñ")
When i run it from Stylus it work fine. But when i try to use it from a java program it does not work. It put another caracter, diferent, from the one especified in the function.

Hi William,
when you say you are using it from Java, do you mean that you run the XSLT using Java, or that you embedded the entire instruction in the Java code?
In the latter case, the literal string you have written could be using an encoding different from what the Java compiler is assuming, and hence is getting converted into something else. It's definitely safer to avoid the usage of non-ASCII characters in the code, and express them via \uXXXX escape sequence
