Patrick FrostSubject: Does Stylus Studio generate XML version 1.5?
Author: Patrick Frost

My customer works for a metal recycling company and owns Stylus Studio 2008 Enterprise. She reads information off of printed paper and manually enters it into an Excel 2003 spreadsheet. She saves this as a CSV file and uses Stylus Studio to convert that CSV into XML according to a schema from the state of Texas. They then submit the XML data to the state government.

Now the state government requires the customer to submit data in XML version 1.5 instead of XML version 1.0.

Can Stylus Studio generate XML version 1.5?

There is no XML 1.5; do they mean XML 1.0 revision 5? What does the actual statement say, exactly?

Hi Patrick,
the v1.5 written in the Web page has to be interpreted as the version of the XML Schema they wrote. Stylus Studio can generate such version; you should download the schemas from the web site and select them in the target schema pane of the Mapper editor (the source schema pane will contain the structure of the converted CSV), and then specify the mapping between the two structures.

Hope this helps,
Alberto
