Beth BeggsSubject: XSLT and Multiple Strings
Author: Beth Beggs

Hello, I am trying to locate and count specific words within a TEI-compliant XML document. For example, I want to know how often the words/strings "up" "down" and "near" appear within the XML document. How do I begin? After that, can I break down this count by <p> </p> within the document? Any help is appreciated.

Best,
Beth

Hi Beth,
if you can use XSLT 2.0 (e.g. Saxon), you can try with contains-words (see http://www.xsltfunctions.com/xsl/functx_contains-word.html)

Hope this helps,
Alberto
