Hi Stylus Studio developers,

My debugger stopped working for the following processors:
Saxon 8.7.3
Saxon 6.5.5
XalanJ 2.5.2

It still works for the built-in and the .Net XslTransform.

I was working on XSLT 2.0 style sheet, but the debugger stopped working for even simple 1.0 style sheets. See attached.

Did I accidentally switch a setting somewhere?

I should clarify. Debugging still produces a result. I just can not step into the style sheet. The debugger does not stop at any breakpoints.

Hi Jammy,
can you recall what happened to your Java configuration before the problem occurred (e.g. did you install any Java-based software, or tweaked the configurations in the Java Control Panel, etc..)?

Hi Alberto,

I personally did not change any configuration. It is possible that the corporate IT rolled something out onto our machines.

I disable the control panel as a tray icon. Should I launch it and look for something in particular?

Or should I try re-installing the JRE? If so is there a particular version (5 or 6) I should install?

Hi Jammy,
we test Stylus against both 1.5 and 1.6, so both of them should work; btw, can you check if the Output Window displays any warning message when trying to debug a stylesheet?

Hi Alberto,

The output window was silent.

However, the problem has been fixed by downloading and installing the Java 6 SDK.

I wonder what may have changed w/ the Java environment. I'm baffled, but relieved I can debug again.
