I'm using the EDIFACT adapter to output an APERAK message from an XML file.

The produced output looks like this:

UNA:+.? '
UNB+UNOA:1+5050012344156:14+5141234804:12+060420:1414+1034++APERAK'
UNH+1034+APERAK:D:96A:UN:SE0009'
BGM++387867+6'
DTM+243:200604201414:203'
RFF+PK:6013050'
UNT+5+1034'
UNZ+1+1034'

The partner I'm dealing with tells me they cannot accept messages with the UNA section in them.
They want just this:

UNB+UNOA:1+5050012344156:14+5141234804:12+060420:1414+1034++APERAK'
UNH+1034+APERAK:D:96A:UN:SE0009'
BGM++387867+6'
DTM+243:200604201414:203'
RFF+PK:6013050'
UNT+5+1034'
UNZ+1+1034'


Is there a way to configure the adapter to not create the UNA section?

You can't do that in the current version, but we can easily add that possibility in the next maintenance updated; we can make a preliminary version available to you if you are interested.

I am using a workaround at the moment but yes I would very much like to have the adapter be able to handle this case.

I'm running close to the deployment date now so a preliminary version would be appreciated.

It turns out that a preliminary version won't be needed.
We were able to backport this change along with a few other
minor EDI-related enhancements into the next patch release,
which should be available as soon as the QA cycle completes.
I think about 10-14 days, but since I'm not in charge of that,
it's just my guess.

I've just installed build 591c and this functionality is now present and working.
