Hi,

I need to add a header and footer on all pages for my html output from a xsl transformation. I want to do this in my xsl file. Could anyone show me how to do this? Thanks

Jean,
is your XSLT transformation generating multiple HTML pages? In that case it won't be easy helping you without some more details about how you are doing that.

If your XSLT is generating a single HTML page, then I'm not sure I see the problem.

Hi,

My xslt generates a single html document. Before I added my header and footer by making the whole html within one table. Then I added my header and footer in the table. During the pdf converstion, the footer and header appears on all pages.

But now my xsl changed: Multiple templates defined for some deep tree structure. And each tree structure using table to construct their own data table. So my header and footer no longer works.

I tried to use xsl:fo to format the docuement. But failed. Is there any examples for me to read?

xsl:fo won't help you if you are trying to generate HTML.

If your XSLT is generating a single HTML page, handling headers and footers won't be more complicated then handling the rest of the XSLT transformation; depending on your approach, the root template or some other entry point you are using might be a good candidate for adding header and footer.

Thanks. I am trying to add header and footer in my main entry point. Actually, what I am doing here is I first transform my xml document into html according to the marketing report specs, after that another software mdoule will convert the html into a pdf file.
