Hi all,
I have a functionnal question. Please to tell me how StylusStudio can help me.

I have got a Web based application (Microsoft) which retrieves data from different Microsoft SQL database. Currently, new data extract into this application needs new developments in this application.
Now I want to provide to designer user ability to design its own XML data from database and integrate this design in my application. Then a operator user can call this design in my application to retrieve data with designed format.
As far I can see database to XML mapper or converter works with StylusStudio suite and not outside.

Please to tell me components to use in order to solve my problem.

Hi Antoines,

One way to let your users define an XML represenations for tables/views is SQLXML.

SQLXML has an intuitive syntax to bing the XML data model to table/columns

The following example shows one of the possible XML view for the Authors table

SELECT
XMLELEMENT(name "authors",
XMLELEMENT(name "au_id",t.au_id),
XMLELEMENT(name "au_lname",t.au_lname),
XMLELEMENT(name "au_fname",t.au_fname),
XMLELEMENT(name "phone",t.phone),
XMLELEMENT(name "address",t.address),
XMLELEMENT(name "city",t.city),
XMLELEMENT(name "state",t.state),
XMLELEMENT(name "zip",t.zip),
XMLELEMENT(name "contract",t.contract)
)
FROM pubs.dbo.authors t
