Roger PowellSubject: Not another entity question?
Author: Roger Powell

Hi,

Since I teach XML technologies, I have some pretty weird requirements...

Is it possible to suppress the automatic entity conversion? For instance, in
MSWord you can use Alt-X to switch between a character and its unicode
hex value. When I type a general entity (e.g. to render something like
Öörç) into an XML document, StylusStudio very kindly renders it as you
see it here. But I would like to see the "raw" entities that I typed and only
have it rendered at a later time!! Is there some setting? I couldn't find one.

Thanks,
Roger Powell

Hi Roger,
our editor doesn't have such functionality. What do you miss most: being
able to enter the numeric Unicode codepoint and have it converted into a
character symbol, or knowing with codepoint correspond to the character
currently under the cursor?

Hi Alberto,

The second one. It would help me explain to my students which numeric
entity I used.

Many thanks,
