Hi,
can you provide more informations? There is nothing in plain XML that can
"upload images to a mobile phone". Do you mean WML, cHTML or other
proprietary formats?

A possible solution would be using a real MMS; the core part of a MMS
message is a fragment of XML written using the SMIL specs (look at the
http://www.w3.org/AudioVideo/ page, they have the original specs and a
bunch of links to tutorials, MMS simulators and authoring tools). This
fragment will tell your mobile phone what to do (e.g. "show this page for X
seconds, then download a GIF and display it with a fade effect").
For the map you should look at SVG (http://www.w3.org/Graphics/SVG/); btw,
Stylus comes with a sample showing how to take some data in XML and, by
means of an XSLT stylesheet, generate an SVG file displaying a bar chart.
