Hi

I'm currently evaluating the Stylus Studio product for use in workflow/BPM integration scenario.

My question is:

Is it possible to embed the XML mapping tool into another application and invoke it directly passing in source/destination XML instances/schemas and corresponding XSL map?

In my case, we are looking at the possibility of using the XML mapper to define XML mapping for EAI call-outs via our process definition client tool.

The only level of integration we could enable is letting you run Stylus
Studio with a command line which forces mapper to be started immediately.
I'm not sure that would be enough for you; this surely would be far from
what I would consider "embedding".

Let us know if that's something that would be helpful for you and we will
try to make it available as soon as possible.

The command line option is, at least, a start - can you supply the appropriate command line syntax?

Re. genuine embedding of the tool....

I'm aware of other products offering an OEM facility for their mappers (e.g. Tibco). As such, I think there is a potential market for you there (given the move toward integration/workflow servers based around/supporting XML).

Given a Java client, is there a route into the existing JAR files you supply which would provide access to the XML mapper UI?

....it doesn't exist yet; we'll try to make it available in one of the next
public updates.

Stylus is a Windows native C++ application, not a Java app; so, there are
no JARs to which you can access. The IDE interfaces are not public, even if
they could be published in the future.

Anyway, we do understand your needs; we'll keep this in mind when we will
focus on future planning.
