Subject: Locals Interference in XML Author: Marco Ganio Vecchiolino Date: 06 Feb 2002 10:47 AM

Hi all,
now i try to explain a very difficult situation for me. I produce an XML output by a web server page, then output go in a XSL StileSheet and then is outputed UI.
All process is server side, user just receive user interface.
Now: sometimes, in different pages, decimal numbers appears whit "." as decimal separator, and sometimes with "," as decimal separator.
You can understand that i check every single page, starting from enforcing output constraint and definitions in web pages, endind with observe differences from stylesheet.
Now i must suppose that Locale Settings infere in some way in the processes: in fact, there is no difference, apparently, between page that have different effect, neither in web page nor in xsl stilesheet.
Sometimes i see terrible string "NaN", but original data has "." to decimal separator! StyloStudio does not have this problem: it seems immune to local settings. By the way, i can't use stilesheet i produces with StilusStudio.
Will you help me, please?
Tanks all!
Marco
