I have been using the editor successfull and getting the conversions I required for xsl. However when I run the stylusxslt command line I get Abnormal Program Termination and nothing else.

Can you give me any clues.

Also is there a way to switch off the file validation of the source files as the msxsl will not convert my file as it has a non standard urn in the doctype that is required for another application.

We've seen that error recently when using the command line using relative
paths instead of absolute ones. Try running it specifying absolute paths
for all the url entries.

Are you saying that msxsl tries to validate your source file? Weird,
because it has an option to turn validation on, but the default should be
off. We will run a few tests.

That should be enough; if you are specifying an output file, that too needs
to be an absolute path.
Can you send me the files you are using and the command line you are
entering so that we can reproduce and fix the problem?

Thanks,
Minollo

FYI, we've sent Martin a version of "stylusxslt.exe" (the command line
version of the Stylus Studio XSLT processor) which hopefully fixes the
problems he has reported here (relative paths not working and crash
executing it).
If things work fine for Martin, we'll make it available to everyone as 57e.

Martin,
I've sent you the updated command line file last Friday night (EST) as
an email attachment to the address you are using on this forum,
martin.me.roberts@bt.com

I've sent it again a couple of minutes ago; let us know if you receive it
and/or if your email address is correct.

Thanks,
Minollo

Martin,
if you still have problems receiving my email attachment, please not
that BL57e is now available on:
http://download.exceloncorp.com/downloads/studio/iftw_beta/stylus%20studio.htm

It contains the fixed command line utility.

Hope this helps,
Minollo

I REALLY need that command line utility and am also getting the abnormal program termination error.

One thing I am not clear on from the docs... can the output file specified via the results parm be a standard file in a specified Windows directory or must it be written to an Excelon Store? My app really needs to write it to a file server and putting it into a store, then moving it to another location in a lot of unecessary overhead.

If there is a fix, can you email it to me? Thanks -- wayne

As you may have read on SSDN by now in this same thread, the fix is
available for 3.1 beta 1:
http://download.exceloncorp.com/downloads/studio/iftw_beta/stylus%20studio.htm

Hope this helps,

Oh, and BTW, any file specified in the command line or in the IDE
application can be file system, eXcelon XIS (what you call eXcelon Store),
http or ftp.
