Hi I have been working with xslt for a week now and I am having a problem outputing xml data, specifically attribute nodes to a tabular format.
I have attached a subset of my xml file.
My select statements look like this
(1)<xsl:value-of select="Properties/Property/Properties/Property/@Name"/>
(2) <xsl:value-of select="Properties/Property/@Name"/>
When I transform the xslt file I am getting all of the Values for Name.
i.e.
Column 1 Column 2
Gas Station pump1 Tank Item (etc) 14011 14019 14006 14013
What I want is
Column 1 Column 2
Gas Station 14011
pump1 14019
Tank 14006
Item 14013
example(5).xml

Hi Nancy,
you are iterating over all the names, then over all the values; if you want them alternated, you need to do
<xsl:for-each select="Properties/Property">
<xsl:value-of select="Properties/Property/@Name"/>
<xsl:value-of select="@Name"/>
</xsl:for-each>
