I'm having some troubles correctly displaying the euro symbol in stylus studio. After inserting the euro in wysiwyg and that not working I added the code € in the xslt.
All is displayed correctly in stylus studio, but when I try to open the xml and xslt in word, instead of a euro sign I get this: €.
If I open a document I created from scratch in xslt, open it in stylus studio and save it from there, then open it in word the euro's are displayed correctly. If I use the save preview button then either way the euro's are not displayed (€ again).
Can someone tell me why this is? Is this a 'bug' in stylus studio, or am I forgetting something in the xslt?

I've tried opening the file with both a browser (IE and Firefox) and by opening it in Word 2003. I've tried opening the xml in word and then adding the xslt to it and I've saved the preview in stylus and opened the resulting html file in word. Neither displayed the euro correctly.

Try changing the output encoding of your XSLT transformation from
UTF-8 to ISO-8859-1 or windows-1252. I've heard rumors that Word
sometimes ignores the encoding and uses the platform encoding
instead. And since the output is XML, the encoding will still preserve
any characters because the serializer will convert any that aren't
expressible into &#xxx; form.
