Hi David,
you are right; currently the tree view in the XMLSchema editor doesn't
manipulate what the user does to enforce the spec, because we don't want to
prevent the user from entering in a temporary violation of the rules (e.g.:
add a second complexType node under an element definition before deleting
the first one). We are working on adding a "view" on the schema that can be
used by a person with no knowledge of the spec, but in any case the problem
you are pointing can indeed be fixed without limiting the freedom of the user.
In other words, thanks for the feedback and expect it fixed as soon as it
is possible.
