does anyone no of a way to insert a page break after so many lines on a page. i need something that calculate the number of lines. i have this finance report with dynamic data so i need to be able to insert a page break after so many lines. what i want is to break the page after so many invoices and insert a page header again. My report has transactions which have invoices so its a table inside another table. Anyones help would be much appreciated thanks.

You'll have to be a little more specific.
Are you talking about XSL-FO? PDF? HTML?
Are you generating with XQuery? XSLT 1 or 2?
Are you using the Report writer?

i have a java program which creates the xml. i made up the xslt stylesheet in dreamweaver and the program joins the two and displays the report in html in a browser. so its a page break in the html i want. at the moemnt it breaks in the middle of a table so it could have the header on one page and data on next. so it looks very untidy. if i was using xsl-fo i know there is lots of things to use such as keep-within etc but unfortunately i have to do it this way.

This is a Stylus Studio support forum.
It doesn't appear your question has anything to do with our products.
Did you ask on DreamWeaver forums, or on the generic xsl-list run by
Mulberry Technologies?
