Subject:opening xsl files in xml editor? Author:Jan Hoffmann Date:05 May 2005 06:52 PM
hi<br>
I would like to run xpath queries on xsl documents, e.g. retrieving the number of template calls, get a list of all import targets and so on. I do like the xpath-shell in the "normal" xml editor, how can I make this available in the xsl edit view? Would be great if don't have to store the file as *.xml in order to achieve that, as I also would like to use xsl-specific features as well.<br>

You can't run XPath against your XSLT in the XSLT editor, but nothing prevents you from opening your XSLT (also) as an XML document; File > Open, select your file, click on the "down arrow" next to the Open button and choose "XML Editor". The same document can be opened in multiple modules at the same time.
