Hello,
Is it possible to find and remove line feed and carriage return characters in SS?
The problem is that if such characters located inside XML elements it makes XML file invalid and create parsing errors for tree view and xml indentation in SS.

You can find CR-LF pairs by entering the \x000D\x000A string in the Find
dialog and checking the "regular expression" check box.
Unfortunately, you cannot use the Replace dialog to change it to empty
strings as we don't support the removal of these special characters; so you
are forced to manually press the keys F3 (for "search next") - Del in a
loop....
Hope this helps,
Alberto

BTW, if you are using version 5.0 you may also find useful the fact that
Stylus allows you to save a file using a cr/lf combination different from
the default Windows one. Take a look under the Edit|Change Newline menu, or
at Tools|Options|Editor General|Newline format - for a global setting.

I tried all available options in Change Newline: Windows, UNIX, Macintosh.
Unfortunately none of them works for my scenario.
It looks like what I need is non-existing yet in SS option No Newline...

1) I have tried a proposed solution using \x000D\x000A string and checking the "regular expression" check box.
SS moves cursor to the end of the first line and stops there. F3 is not working after that. Cursor stays at the end of the first line all the time.
2) I also checked both 'Search only inside' and 'element tags', because this is exactly what I am after. SS gives me a message:
cannot find the string '\x000D\x000A'.
3) My files are big, 10 MB is a regular size. So just search, even when it is working, is not feasible for my case.
4) What about to fix/beef up functionality of the Replace dialog?
Please advice.
P.S. Sample XML file in the attachment contains many 0D0A symbols inside XML elements.

I am back to the same old issue where wrapped in the
middle XML elements create a not well-formed XML.
How about to introduce something like macro functionality
which will do the following steps:
- Search for (using regular expression) [^>]$ string
it will search for the end of the line not ending on ‘>’ character
- Simulate ‘End’ button click
- Simulate ‘Delete’ button click
- Repeat the process to the end of the XML file
