Subject:Stylus Studio 2009 and IBM Java Author:Richard Yeadon Date:10 Feb 2009 01:07 PM
I am obliged to use IBM's version of Java (which is based on the Sun
version)
Presently I have the following JVM as my system JVM:
java version "1.6.0"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build pwi3260sr3-20081106_07(SR3))
IBM J9 VM (build 2.4, J2RE 1.6.0 IBM J9 2.4 Windows XP x86-32
jvmwi3260 -20081105_25433 (JIT enabled, AOT enabled)
J9VM - 20081105_025433_lHdSMr
JIT - r9_20081031_1330
GC - 20081027_AB)
JCL - 20071118_01
However, my evaluation copy of Stylus Studio 2009 reports that:
Stylus Studio could not load the Java Virtual Machine for
the following reason:
Java Runtime Environment Version 1.4 or above is required
Is there any way to persuade, bully or fool Stylus Studio into
thinking that this version of Java is valid, or will it only work
with the Sun version ?
