Subject:Alignment of table items in XML Publisher Author:Lynda Kessler Date:06 Apr 2010 05:27 PM
Hello,
I’m a new user of Stylus Studio. I’m generating a report from a large XML file and the output format is XSL-FO PDF. The report is set up as a four-column table.
I’m having trouble with the alignment of the items in my table. Column 1 is the table name and column 2 is the table description. Those are fine. Column 3 contains the names of the fields in the table and column 4 contains a description of each field. I need each field name in column 3 to align with its corresponding description in column 4, even if the item in column 3 is single lined and the item in column 4 is multiple lined. Right now, columns 3 & 4 are set up as nested tables, but that’s not aligning them correctly. Any suggestions?

Hi Lynda,
if you need an alignment between column 3 and 4 you should create a main table with three columns, one for column 1, one for column 2 and one with a nested table containing two column for what you were calling column 3 and 4.
