Using Variables

In a query that you specify in a stylesheet, you can refer to variables that you defined elsewhere in the stylesheet. Use the following format to refer to a variable:

$variable_name

In a stylesheet, you can define variables with either of the following instructions:

XSLT Debugger

Stylus Studio's XSLT debugger - a requirement for building bug-free XSLT stylesheets and XML data transformation applications. Stylus Studio's XSLT debugger gives you complete visibility and control over the XSLT transformation process.

XSLT Profiler

Stylus Studio's XSL and XSLT profiler allows you to create detailed XSLT performance metrics profiles of any stylesheet in a processor-independent way.

XML Spell Checker

The Stylus Studio Spell Checker is integrated with our intuitive XML Text Editor. It highlights typographical errors as you type and lets you easily search, replace, and build custom dictionaries.

XML Code Folding

Stylus Studio's XML Editor features XML code folding, a powerful and intuitive way to maximize limited screen real-estate and help make sense of large XML files.
