Stylus Studio® Database to XML Mapper
Stylus Studio® formerly included full support for Database-to-XML Mapping (illustrated below). The Database-to-XML mapper, available in previous releases of Stylus Studio®, was a powerful visual tool for creating XML views of relational database data using SQL/XML technologies. This functionality has been deprecated as of Stylus Studio 2007 Release 2 (May 2007) in favor of DataDirect XQuery™ and DataDirect XML Converters™, which provides a far more powerful and extensible means of connecting to any relational database —including Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and others— and extracting data directly from Microsoft .NET or Java applications.

Using Stylus Studio with RenderX XEP
RenderX XEP is a production-quality engine that converts XSL:FO into PDF or PostScript files. You can use RenderX XEP in place of the Apache FOP engine to render PDF files from Stylus Studio.
DTD Editor
The Stylus Studio DTD Editor lets you visually develop Document Type Definitions (DTD) to structure XML documents. The DTD Editor also includes tools and utilites for validating XML against DTD's, converting DTD's, and generating DTD's.
Support for the Saxon XQuery Processor
Stylus Studio's XQuery tools feature integrated support for the Saxon SA 8.7.3 XQuery and XSLT processor so you can Edit, Debug and Run XQuery using Saxon. Java code generation support lets you deploy Saxon XQuery applications with just one click.
XSD Documentation Generator
Stylus Studio®'s XSD Editor includes an integrated XSD documentation generator, allowing you to easily publish XML content models defined in XSD in a convenient, HTML format.
