I have a nested array that pulls data from MySQL. At a certain depth it fails with a heap error. also how can I spped up my performance. Do I need to adjust certain MySQL settings. I attempted to adjust JVM setting but with no change.

I cannot provide examples because this is defense related work. What I can say is that we are building an xml file that in its final size is about 12 M. There are dozens of nested arrays of arrays of arrays. The processing seems to go from 1 minute to 1 hour as add one more depth level of array.

If I switch over to a 64 bit OS with 4 G more memory help. Is the bottle neck MySQL or Stylus Studio or CPU speed.

Can you tell me which paramters I might modify to improve performance.

The output size is not a problem, but the query design can affect the performance.

Tuning the Java heap size has described in several posts may be a short term cure.
