Subject:How to Convert CSV lines to individual XML file and submit to Web Service Author:Angie Kennedy Date:12 Aug 2009 08:10 PM
Good evening.
I am just getting started evaluating this software and have a question about CSV -> XML File transformations.
I have a scenario where I will be required receive a CSV File with many records. For each record in the file I will need to generate a single XML message.
Each of these XML messages will need to be submitted to a Web Service.
Can you tell me if this is possible in Stylus and if so, how would I go about doing this?
Please let me know if I can provide any additional information.
Thank you......Angie Kennedy

File|New|XQuery will create a new XQuery.
For the input, choose your CSV file, and open it using the CSV
converter.
This will make it appear as XML to the XQuery engine.

Good afternoon.
I am continuing to work toward the model I described briefly in my first post.
I am able convert CSV to a basic XML; then convert those individual XML to my Complex XML message structure.
I am attempting to create a Web Service call now, but have hit an Error message when testing the Web Service call.
Error: The encoding 'UTF-8' is not supported by the Java runtime
I saw a couple of other tickets about this error, but wasn't sure how to proceed.
Some of my system details:
- Windows XP workstation
- 1.6.0_15 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM Sun Microsystems Inc.
debug mode port:8000
- Stylus Studio 2009 XML Enterprise Suite Release 2 Build 1386e
Please let me know if I can provide any additional information.
Thank you......Angie Kennedy
