A part of my xml looks like this:

<A>
<city>xxxx</city>

<B>
<city>yyyy</city>

<A>
<city>zzzz/city>
</A>

The desired output should be:

A xxxx
zzzz
B yyyy

That is, A should be print once and associated data should be print under that( A is repeating 2 times).
Can this be done?

Please Help..

Hi, this is the XML that I used

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<root>

<A>
<city>xxxx</city>
</A>

<B>
<city>yyyy</city>

</B>

<A>
<city>zzzz</city>

</A>

</root>

And here is the XSL that I wrote

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="2.0">
<xsl:template match="/">
<xsl:for-each-group group-by="name()" select="/child::root/*">
<xsl:variable name="currentitem" select="./name()"></xsl:variable>
<xsl:value-of select="./name()"></xsl:value-of>
<xsl:for-each select="/child::root/*">
<xsl:if test="$currentitem = ./name()">
<xsl:value-of select="city"></xsl:value-of>
</xsl:if>
</xsl:for-each>
</xsl:for-each-group>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>

Cheers, John Bampton.
