I am trying to open an xslt for debug. This xslt has unicode characters.
Stylus studio crashes with message "GetTextMetrics( Arial Unicode MS) failed. The operation completed successfully." I have checked installation and I do have Arial Unicode MS font on my machine with works with other applications.

Can you help me please?

Hi,
the error is indeed strange; the call to get the metrics for that font returned FALSE, but without specifying any detail.
Which operating system are you running?

Hi,
I tried the latest Stylus Studio 2008 Rel 2 on Windows 200 SP + IE 6 (that didn't have the Arial Unicode MS font; I had to install from an XP machine) and it was able to use it to display XML documents.
How did you get the Arial Unicode MS font? (MS Office?) Can you try, as a work around, to go to Tools | Options | Editor Format and pick a default font that is able to display a wide range of Unicode characters (e.g. Lucida Sans Unicode)?

I had a 2007 copy of stylus studio. I tried same thing on that copy which gave same error but didn't crash.

Now in 2008 I tried changing font to Lucida before opening xslt.
Now It doesn't crash but I have Kanji/Katakana characters in my xslt file. It can not display japanese characters.
I am attaching sample for your reference.

Hi,
on my system I can correctly view the XSL file by selecting the Tahoma font. Do you have it available on Windows 2000?
We are still trying to reproduce the error in house; as Arial Unicode MS doesn't come by default with Windows 2000 SP4, which version of MS Office do you have installed (2000/2002/2003)?
