should be simple, but I'm new and lost. I have a MS SQL Server 2005 db (which I have sucessfully connected to) and a pile of xsd files for the target xml schema. All I want is a basic pipeline so that I can generate properly formated (valid wrt the xsd's) xml from a variety of tables in the db. How do I set up the pipeline?

You don't necessarily need a pipeline to do that; it may be enough to create a single XQuery that maps from multiple RDBMS tables to a specific XML Schema.
