I would like to generate a schema from a sample XML file. By default it appears that Stylus Studio is creating anonymous types in the schema. I do not want this; i would prefer that stylus studio create types for me. Is this possible?

There isn't an option for that. But using XML Schema editor, you can easily right click on an type and choose QuickEdit > Make Type Global

This is not a realistic option for us since we often have to generate schemas from sample data files that yield hundreds of types.

One of your major competitors offers this functionality and you should seriously consider adding it to your product.

We understand the problem. And we will take into consideration adding this feature.
